HEIDENHAIN Incremental and Absolute scales for TNC and high accuracy applications 

 

HEIDENHAIN has a wide range of exposed and sealed linear encoders to suit any application - for different display steps, installation spaces and traverse lengths.

All HEIDENHAIN linear encoders are inspected before shipping for accuracy and proper function. They are calibrated for accuracy during traverse in both directions. The number of measuring positions is selected to determine very exactly not only the long-range error, but also the position error within one signal period.

The Inspection certificate confirms the specified system accuracy of each encoder. The LC, LF, LS 100 and LS 400 series of scales have a calibration chart that documents the position error over the measuring range and also states the measuring step and measuring uncertainty of the calibration.
