The following are examples of Fanuc CNC projects that ACC Systems have carried out for a number of special purpose machine manufacturers.
The drilling machine was retrofitted with a Fanuc 0i-D Open CNC control with a Fanuc Panel-i PC based operator interface. A Visual Basic application provided the operator with a customised interface. A Keyence vision system was used to measure 3 datum points on the workpiece which were then used to provide an offset and rotational correction to the part program.
This 3-axis flat-bed laser application involved a complete control system design for an OEM customer. A Fanuc 180i Open CNC control was used. The application also included complete control of the laser system.
The Wheelturn was custom designed and manufactured specifically for abrasive wheel manufacture. Although originally a manually operated machine, the original design included features that would permit automated loading and unloading, such as a powered door and the ability to automatically clean the chuck jaws before loading a new component.
The Laser Welder control system was originally designed by ACC Systems and fitted with an early Fanuc 16MA control. In order to extend the production life of the machine the end-user requested an upgrade to the latest specification CNC and servo drives. An unexpected benefit of this upgrade was that the production cycle time was reduced by 20% due to the faster processing speed of the 30i.
This console was designed and manufactured for a Laser OEM for use on a welding application.
